This We Believe

At Zion Lutheran Church we believe that all our teachings should be taken from the Bible.  We believe the Bible is the true and inerrant word of God. The Bible reveals to us how God saved the world through Jesus Christ.  Every aspect of our beliefs and teachings revolve around him.  We believe that the Bible not only shows us that Jesus is our savior from sin, but it also is a guide for our everyday living. We believe that everything you need for eternal life and salvation is found in God’s Word, the Bible.

Zion is a Confessional Lutheran church, which means we hold to the Lutheran confessions. The Lutheran confession can be found in The Book of Concord. The Book of Concord is not a replacement of the Bible nor does it have authority over the Bible, but it is merely an explanation of the teachings found in the Bible.

Zion is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).  This means part of our efforts and offerings go to support the work of the WELS both at home and aboard.  Since we are a member of the WELS, we also enjoy the great blessing of knowing that there are other churches out there that share our belief.  If you would like to learn more about what we believe at Zion check out the WELS Statements of Belief.
